First introduced in 1923 by Mars, Inc. The Milky Way bar was the first widely produced chocolate bar with filling. The name originated from a popular drink of the time, essentially a malted milkshake called the "Milky Way" and was not, as popularly believed, named after the galaxy.
When one eats the Milky Way bar, they may find themselves disappointed by the distinct lack of gas, dust and forming stars. It should be noted that, instead of a black hole based center, there is malted nougat and caramel. Either way, I could go for a milkshake flavored on either the candy bar or the galaxy... Both sound delicious.
