Shall we get this started?

Yes, hypothetical question; we shall.

Welcome to the blog of my business, Virtual Vintage! We are a solo operation with the aim to help appraise and sell antique, vintage and hobby items as well as various collectibles. Unlike most traditional appraisers/antique shops, we specialize in more modern items. I'm not talking about modern furniture from the 1950s/1960s either... I'm talking about video games and gaming systems, collectible cards and card games (including sports cards), more modern toys from the 1970s through the 2000s and more. Though, admittedly, we do deal in more traditional antiques such as advertising, Americana, various other antique items and, most importantly, coins from the United States.

This blog's purpose is to keep people semi-up-to-date about information regarding Virtual Vintage and to offer me a place to talk about the various adventures I may have as well. Articles may also include information about random items (such as coins, video games and heck, maybe even Lego bricks) as another goal of Virtual Vintage is to make people understand a bit more about the items that they surround themselves with and, hopefully, to gain a brand new appreciation for these items. I have always been of the belief that the better you know an item, or the history of something, the more you can walk away with and the more enlightened you can be. Yes, I am very, very materialistic, apparently.

Hopefully the main website will be up soon which contains more information about the business aspect of Virtual Vintage, the rates we charge for appraisals and other services and the Virtual Vintage Museum; which will hopefully archive the vast majority of items that we come into contact with, teaching people a bit more about the item and their history.

Thank you for visiting and feel free to follow!
